Reading news about which rights are recognized in ( To ) the Rivers such as the “ Atrato” in Colombia, the “ Ganges and Yamuma” rivers in India, the “Yarra” river in Australia, the “ Te Urewera” river in New Zealand, or the recognition of the Colombian amazon as subject of law and in the national ambit we have the Proyecto de ley N°06957/2020-CR Through which it is intended to recognize that mother nature, ecosystems and species are holders of rights and subjects of protection by the state. dealing with living entities, with intrinsic and universal value that have the right to exist, develop naturally, regenerate, restore and evolve, and at the local level we have the municipal ordinance of September 23, 2019, recognizes the LLallimayo river basin as a subject of law in order to institutionalize and generate municipal mechanisms and strategies that guarantee conservation and sustainable management for the benefit of the population and ecosystems.
