Resumen
El trabajo de investigación analiza el efecto de la concentración de tiourea (0,0625; 0,125 y 0,25 M) durante el proceso de lixiviación de oro por agitación en medio ácido a una velocidad de agitación constante de 1000 rpm y a temperatura ambiente en la minera Antuyo distrito de Tiquillaca, Provincia de Puno. El mineral usado tiene un tamaño de partícula de -74/+44 µm (malla -200/+325) con una ley de oro de 3,88 g/t. Los resultados muestran que la concentración de tiourea tiene un papel importante en el sistema tiourea-oro y controla la velocidad de lixiviación, a una concentración de 0,25 M y pH 2 en un tiempo de 90 min de lixiviación alcanza una recuperación del 90 % de oro presente en el mineral con un consumo de tiourea de 1 g/L. Así mismo, en el proceso se liberan algunos iones oxidantes a la solución que permite la oxidación de oro en presencia de tiourea en medio ácido y se promueve la formación de complejos estables entre el oro y la tiourea.
